DAIRY FARM - CHAPEL ST LEONARDS [125]

Saturday 27th June – Wednesday 1st July 2009

I tried to visit this site two years ago but the pitching area was flooded and I finished up across the road in a commercial site. This time I didn’t have any problems as the weather had been dry for a few weeks, but I noticed the dyke which runs down one side of the property had been recently cleared. The pitching area is on well mown grass with plenty of room. It is situated on the edge of the village of Anderby which is a couple of miles inland from the coast. There is a pub and convenience store at Anderby Creek however if you require anything else you will have to visit nearby Chapel St Leonards, which has a few shops, takeaways, and a small supermarket. The area to the south of the town is very popular with holiday makers and there are a lot of static caravan sites.

A minibus to Chapel St Leonards, where connections to all areas can be found, runs past the site entrance but I understand that it needs to be pre-booked a couple of hours in advance. If you don’t use this you will need your car or a bicycle to explore the local area.
